How can I analyse and manage my data?

Databuilder helps you pipeline, organize, dissect, and analyze your data in realtime. We understand that business intelligence can make or break a business, and we have conceived our tool with that in mind. You can use pivot tables, graphs, detailed reports, and charts to gather insights from your data.

Is Databuilder suitable for a small business?

Small businesses can benefit from a solution like Databuilder’s cloud-based database software, as it provides a self-serve solution to manage their data needs without any prior programming knowledge or dependency on IT professionals. Our platform is intuitive so that contributors with domain-expertise can build the application they need.

Can an entire team collaborate to build apps on the platform?

Databuilder allows unlimited app creators and users, so you can build apps on your own or bring your entire team to the platform. If you know exactly the type of app you need but aren’t too keen on building it yourself,  let us know and we can build one for you.

You do. You’re the sole owner and completely responsible for the contents of your database.

How much does it cost?

Getting started

How do I get started?

Our online database software builder lets you get started in seconds. You can leverage our low-code platform to create and deploy your first app in hours, not months. Simply sign up for the Freemium Account, select a template, and start playing around. If there are no templates that match your unique needs, feel free to create a custom web-based application from scratch and start building what you require. Feel free to reach out to our support team if you need help.

What exactly is a Databuilder app?

An app is a collection of related tables, scripts and pages often reflecting a single project, process, or workflow that you collaborate on with your team. For example, you could make an app to organize your sales process, with tables for sales leads, companies, and deal opportunities. Each table contains records (similar to rows in a spreadsheet), which represent the individual objects, ideas, or people that you’re tracking. You’re free to create as many apps as you’d like on any of our plans.

How do I access my Databuilder app?

Your Databuilder database can be accessed from any device connected to the Internet. You can also embed Databuilder database apps on your own website. You can access all your apps by signing into your Databuilder account, or by a direct link to the application’s domain.

Can I connect Databuilder to my SQL database?

No. At this time Databuilder can only work with the database built into our platform. You can export your Databuilder database to a SQL file if you wish.

Can I migrate my data from other databases?

Switching from your current provider to a new database management software can be difficult. Databuilder lets you import data from CSV files, so you can migrate and transform all of your data from a legacy system with ease. Virtually every other database will let you export into that format. You can even maintain connections and relationships when importing, by preserving key columns in the source data.

Does it work with other products and services?

Yes! Link Databuilder with other apps and cloud services like Google Sheets, MailChimp, and Trello through Zapier. It’s also easy to migrate your existing data from MS Access, Excel, and other repositories into your Databuilder online database via CSV files. Also, professional developers can integrate your app further via our REST API.

Can you help me build my online database?

We understand that you might not have the time to build software, which is why we offer a Turnkey solution. We can plan, create, and, manage all of your database applications, letting you focus on what matters. If you prefer to talk to an expert for a more guided, personalized introduction to our low-code platform, schedule a free consultation now and one of our specialists will reach out to you

What is activity history?

Databuilder provides powerful ways to go back in time with a comprehensive log of all actions that took place in your app. View a living history of all the changes that have been made to a single record and jump back in time and restore your app to a previous state via backups. We provide a limited history for free plans, with extended histories for our premium plans. When you upgrade and extend your history, you’ll see the history that was previously limited by your old plan’s limits.

Managing your account

Is a Freemium account limited in functionality?

No, we do not limit users by functionality. With a Freemium account, you have at your disposal the same functionality as you do with our premium plans. We only charge users for data usage and maintenance.

Do I need a bank card in order to create an account?

No payment card is required to sign in or register to Databuilder. You may try out Databuilder as a demo user via templates or register and give a try to our Freemium plan. Payment card is needed only if you wish to upgrade to our premium plans.

What are the per-account limits?

While we don’t limit the number of apps you can create or users you can invite, we do limit records and attachment space per account. On the Freemium plan, we limit the total number of records you can have across all tables and all apps in an account. We also limit the total amount of attachment space you can use in your account. You can increase these limits by upgrading to one of our premium pricing plans.

Are there any charges by the number of users?

No, you do not pay for individual users. Your users and collaborators can access your shared apps without any limitations. We only charge for data usage and maintenance.

What happens when I hit my usage limits?

If you reach our record or attachment limits, you’ll still be able to use your apps. We’ll let you know about the overage, and give you a grace period to find a plan that fits your needs!

What are my payment options?

All payments are made via credit card for all our premium plans. For Unlimited accounts, we can issue an annual invoice with payment via PO and/or ACH, wire, or check. Please contact us for more information.

Can I cancel my subscription or downgrade a plan?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Your plan will remain valid until the cancellation of your subscription. If you choose to downgrade to the inferior plan, you’ll be brought to the downgrade screen. If you decide to downgrade to free, you will receive a final invoice on your existing billing cycle. This final invoice will either charge any outstanding overages or apply any remaining balance as credit to your account.

Data security

Is my data secure?

A sounding yes! We are committed to protecting your data from day one. We encrypt all data as it moves between our servers and your web browser. In addition, we encrypt all data that is stored on our servers. We use SHA-256, the strongest encryption standard available.

What kind of backups do you use?

We backup your database in multiple locations several times a day. Restoring from a backup is free for premium plans. Your backup is also secured with encryption.

How do I restore data from a backup?

Let us know and we will manage that process for you. We’ll soon be automating our backups so you can control any restores right from your account.

How can I ensure no one else can access my data?

We maintain a privacy policy that outlines our commitment to respecting your privacy and the privacy of the information in your account. Ultimately, the data in your account is not accessible to anyone, unless you make it accessible.

Is my data locked in?

You can export your data any time in a variety of formats, including CSV. You also have full access to your data through our REST API.

How can I retrieve my data from the platform?

With Databuilder, you can easily export any information you’ve stored within the platform, along with the entire applications.

How do you handle credit card payments?

The site uses the industry leading payment processor Stripe. They handle payment processing for over 100,000 businesses. We do not log or store your card information.
