Frequently Asked Questions

What's an app?

An app is a collection of related tables, scripts and pages often reflecting a single project, process, or workflow that you collaborate on with your team. For example, you could make an app to organize your sales process, with tables for sales leads, companies, and deal opportunities. Each table contains records (similar to rows in a spreadsheet), which represent the individual objects, ideas, or people that you’re tracking. You’re free to create as many apps as you’d like on any of our plans.

What are the per-account limits?

While we don’t limit the number of apps you can create or users you can invite, we do limit records and attachment space per account. On the Freemium plan, we limit the total number of records you can have across all tables and all apps in an account. We also limit the total amount of attachment space you can use in your account. You can increase these limits by upgrading to one of our premium pricing plans.

Are there any charges by the number of users?

No, you do not pay for individual users. Your users and collaborators can access your shared apps without any limitations. We only charge for data usage and maintenance.

What is activity history?

Databuilder provides powerful ways to go back in time with a comprehensive log of all actions that took place in your app. View a living history of all the changes that have been made to a single record and jump back in time and restore your app to a previous state via backups. We provide a limited history for free plans, with extended histories for our premium plans. When you upgrade and extend your history, you’ll see the history that was previously limited by your old plan’s limits.

What happens when I hit my usage limits?

If you reach our record or attachment limits, you’ll still be able to use your apps. We’ll let you know about the overage, and give you a grace period to find a plan that fits your needs!

What are my payment options?

All payments are made via credit card for all our premium plans. For Unlimited accounts, we can issue an annual invoice with payment via PO and/or ACH, wire, or check. Please contact us for more information.

Is a Freemium account limited in functionality?

No, we do not limit users by functionality. With a Freemium account, you have at your disposal the same functionality as you do with our premium plans. We only charge users for data usage and maintenance.

Do I need a bank card in order to create an account?

No payment card is required to sign in or register to Databuilder. You may try out Databuilder as a demo user via templates or register and give a try to our Freemium plan. Payment card is needed only if you wish to upgrade to our premium plans.

Can I cancel my subscription or downgrade a plan?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Your plan will remain valid until the cancellation of your subscription. If you choose to downgrade to the inferior plan, you’ll be brought to the downgrade screen. If you decide to downgrade to free, you will receive a final invoice on your existing billing cycle. This final invoice will either charge any outstanding overages or apply any remaining balance as credit to your account.
